Not a must see but interesting and worth doing when downtown Chiang Rai at night.
A place to find good food and walking street in the weekend, a charm of Chiangrai
people wait for 7, 8, and 9 pm around the clock to see its colors change with the sound of music
We were fortunate enough to be in Chiang Rai in this the celebration of their 750th year. If you are in Chiang Rai you must be at the clock tower at 20.00 and I think again at 21.00 it changes colors and plays music, just brilliant!
The clock tower itself is land mark of Chengrai. It is golden tower with typical thai architecture, built by same artist who built White temple, Chalomchai Kosipitpat. The colour of tower change many times and it is attracting. Worth visit and stay to see the lighting. Crowded with tourist. Many photograph points here.
Extravagant and over the top. Wonderful photo ops around sunset when the light hits the all the ornamentation. And definitely worth staying to see the light show at 6 pm.
beautiful 'golden clock' in the center of town. I know they do light shows here, not sure if it is every night or not.
This is a beautiful clock and tower that "performs" each night at seven, changing colors etc. Tourists with nothing better to do or on their way to the Night Market gather around for the ten minute show.
the clock tower is in the middle of town. in the night time on the hour it changes to many different colours. i was suprised by the amount of thai's that come and see the display.
This site reveals a great deal about Thai values. It's also surrounded by nice little coffee shops. It's well worth seeing the light and sound show in the evenings.
