we went to the elephant foundation for a brief visit and were able to feed the smaller elephants with bananas which my wife loved. the only issue we had was that when they had been fed to elephant was encouraged to do tricks which was not necessary and a bit too contrived.

Not sure of the name of the park we went to but it was situated on the south side of Hau Hin, about a 20 minute drive from town. We were delayed during our trip from the hotel so a little late for "the show" so were raced through the petting of the baby leopards who were tethered near the... More

I wanted to ride an elephant and I got to do that ate reasonable price, but the show is a little upsetting and they are really there to make money. The track for the elephants was not the best but gave you the experience. I got a photo too and my tour guide was lovely and showed me around his... More

We were very excited to go to the elephant foundation as we wanted to take our 4 year old to have the experience. The two older children 13 & 11 had riden elephants in Sri Lanka. When we arrived my husband handed over the money it was £100 for 2 elephants!! We were then offered some water which we declined... More

I wanted to see elephants in Thailand and had read the reviews from others on trip advisor about this foundation. We went thinking the elephants were free to roam and well cared for....however on arrival we saw a very large elephant in a small space with chains on his legs, looking very unhappy. Also saw a baby elephant in some... More

there are many places where you can ride the elephants, this place claims it tries to help older elephant. i am always a little bit doubtful of this type of propaganda as in Thailand (and other countries) there is alway someone ready to cash in. However i found them very amicable and i take all my guests to this place.... More

Elephants are well treated. It is a foundation and not an attraction park. The treck is not made to visit but to offer a good experience on an elephant back. The foundation has no public funds so do not hesitate to make a donation.

We went to the Hutsadin Elephant Foundation based on the good reviews for this place / negative reviews of the Elephant Village.  The first tuk tuk drivers we asked did not know where it was. The second batch worked it out between then after a bit of discussion. 300 baht there and back and waiting. The foundation is about 10... More
