It's worth seeing, even if you don't travel by train. The going rate for taxis/tuktuks around the central part of town seems to be 100THB in October 2009. We paid that for transport from the bus station to Poonsuk Rd, and from there(when we left) to the mini-bus departure point on the corner of Chomsin Rd & the main road... more

No problems with railway station but we arrived at 7.00a.m. & you need to know how much a taxi should cost as otherwise you will be ripped off, (as in most places.) more
