This is the Number One place I tell people to go for the best views. Its a great walk, a bit of a thrill really. I try to go a few times a year, and always enjoy it. Do it, you won't be sorry!

Would have loved to have had time to use the walkway across the bridge but we were time poor
Love it! The area is so beautiful, and the locals are so nice. :)
For a real thrill while visiting the Thousand Islands area, drive across the bridge to Canada, explore the Canadian side of the river - this is one of the highest bridges in the U.S. and you'll get a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River and some of the 1,000 islands in this region. Make sure someone has a videocam...

The Thousand Islands Bridge is the gateway to Wellesley Island and Canada. Wellesley Island is home to a wonderful state park, stately, old, summer homes, a golf course, and surrounded by the St. Lawrence River. What is not to like ?
we take the american span of the thousand islands bridge regularly to get on and off the island we have a summer cottage on..We spy the bridge heading north on I-81 and especially the first trip over is AWESOME, the ocean cruising ships go under neath and you can see for miles and miles...Seriously cool bridge..!
Staying on the road is helpful, especially when crossing the bridge. Look down and see islands.
