The island has seen a transformation over the years and quite frankly is still missing the point by a mile. While the restrictive covenants try to maintain an architectural style akin to George Boldt's wishes, it is sadly falling behind the times. The revitalization of Hart House to a bed and breakfast from a run down old building was genius... more

Many of the previous posters complaints are resolved with the new management at the Wellesley Hotel restaurant in Thousand Island Park - it's super in all respects, including the food, service, and atmosphere. more

Very nice but a little tame. T.I. Park is beautiful w/great homes but could use more restoration and better restaurants. Tennis Island is a beautiful spot but needs a better restaurant with better hours. The Thousand Island Yacht Club needs to be sold to someone who cares about the area, history, architecture and the visitors beyond just a cash cow... more
