Very nice place, day and night. There is Alanya's oldest mosque, and the story of the prison and its events is interesting. Recommend the guided tour there. Especially at night Alanya lights are really beautiful.
well worth a visit, to get there by taxi its approx £18.00 return, driver takes you up to the local village and gives you 30 mins or so there, mosque and very old cemetary there. then you go to lower castle only walls left, but both have fantastic views, especially upper castle. few stalls there also.
The Alanya Kale (castle) is a sprawling affair on a hill near the center of town. The views - both from below and above - are excellent. Entrance to the upper castle is ticketed, and although it isn't expensive, there is virtually nothing inside the well preserved walls.
