It was my first mosque and worth taking a visit. I had a good guide to explain some of the significance to it.

It doesn't matter what you believe just visit and learn the spacialities of the archtecture and pray on your own language and your own God.

Unfortunately, people who visit mosques do not fully respect the holiness side of these locations. Mosques are for prayers and for worshiping ALLAH not for photo taking in shorts and t-shirts and uncovered heads.

I love history and there is so much to this place. We had a very good tour guide who was very knowledgeable in the history of the mosque and its importance to Islam. The calligraphy in the building is amazing. I forgot my scarf but there were plenty available inside.

try to go to Great Mosque in the morning when it is all empty!! it is so different all the other famous mosques in Turkey!!

Ulu Camii is one of the oldest mosques in Bursa (built between 1366 and 1369). This is one of the places not to be missed in Bursa. Nothing special from outside, but hidden gem inside.
