My wife and I took a one day excursion to Cappadocia as part of our trip to Turkey. Given the limited time we were going to be there, we figured it made sense to take a guided tour instead of charting our own course with guidebooks and walking/public transport. Boy it work out for us! Our guide Zafer, picked us... More

Zafer gave us a great experience; he arranges to pick you up and drive you to a great winery where you get to taste the local wines and strike up a conversation with the owner. After purchasing our choice of wine, we drove to a spot, got out and took a relaxing hike through the rock formations. He really lets... More

Thanks to Zafer Yizici, and his company Lirita Tours, I spent 3 wonderful days in Cappadocia in late August 2011. My visit included touring the unique rock formations of the area as well as those formations that had been converted to homes, churches and monastic communities centuries ago. In particular, I enjoyed seeing several beautiful works of Christian Byzantine frescos.... More

My wife and I have been planning for a long time now to go to Turkey, we have been many times, but always to Istanbul. So, of course, during winter, Cappadocia would be the best option. While surfing the net, and finding out things to do in Cappadocia, we came across "Cappadocia Urban Advetnures", usually, we like to explore things... More

We just returned from a fabulous Turkish adventure. The highlight of our trip was a one day tour of Cappodocia w/ Zafer. With his expert guidance we were able to get away from the crowds and enjoy the landscape and the history at leisure. He didn't rush anything and was willing to go out of the way if the group... I cannot say enough nice things about this company. I booked the Underground Cappadocia tour from the States before I got to Turkey, and while the tour cost a little more (not substantial) than the tours being sold in Cappadocia, the extra was with every penny. Most people who go to Cappadocia go on two tours that most of the... More

Cappadocia is a must on any Turkey itinerary. It is steeped in culture and fabulous sites. I only had 1 day to visit Cappadocia, but would recommend staying longer to really enjoy the experience. Dear Bridget, Thank you for your review, I am glad that you had a short but great time in Cappadocia.
