Hierapolis's primary focus thousands of years ago was its sacred pools and snow white limestone terraces. The water in the pools is crystal clear and swimming amid submerged Roman marble columns is worth the extra cost of hire of bathing costume and pool entrance. The water is a pleasant 36 degrees celsius. In late October it was not very busy... More

Fun time, interesting surroundings, but gets VERY crowded, and the large rocks can really bang up your legs.

Also called Antique Pool. It is amazing, and the warmth of the water makes you feel relaxed. Read more about it in my review of Pamukkale.

I had wanted to bathe in this beautiful pool for a long time and finally being able to get to Pamukkale and experience it was simply amazing. Legendary Cleopatra bath in donkeys milk to behold her beauty, we cant do that, but we can have a bath in Cleopatra bath in ancient Hierapolis. Water is from the natural hot spring and containing minerals, that make you skin feel young and smooth and you can feel like legendary beauties - Cleopatra, Elena or even Afrodita herself.

Take a dip in this "Cleopatra" pool and you'll come out feeling rejuvenated and could even "cure" some skin ailments!

Part of the Hierapolis, beautiful pool filled with mineral water. Additional fee not included in the Hierapolis entry fee if you want to use the pool.
