Although it's basically an antique resort, some of the ruins are very well preserved and it's an interesting promenade if you are in Pamukkale.

Larget one I've ever seen. Apparently the builders gave up on it thousands of years ago. (But I thought the salesman mentioned "Perpetual Care....") Everything is piled here and there. Incredible Photo Oportunities.

Sprawling ruins with nice views in all directions. Bring your own tourbook as most guides only take you to the travertines/Cleopatra pool.

The ruins of the theater, temples, baths, and other Greek monuments at the site. Hierapolisis located behind of Pamukkale. Long before you arrice in Heirapolis you can see teh gleaming white travertine terrace of Paumkkale. In ancient time religious buildings were built nearby hot or cold water for curing. It is rather small-sized site.

Lots to see at this site; the theater ruins are still in good shape and well worth seeing. Not as good as the ruins at Aphrodisias, but worth seeing if you are going to make the trek up the pammukale travertines.

Hieropolis is HUGE - most people on tours just see the Tavertines and maybe the ampitheatre but the site goes on for ever and it is so easy to wander around and explore. Take some water and a snack and head away from the crowds then treat yourself to a swim in the Antique Pool or Tavertines.

The site is really big and will require lots of steps to get around. Go early or late in the day to try to get some relief from the sun. If you like ruins, you will love this place!

I went there with my 10 years old son. We visited all the places in the city and it took 2 days. The greatest things about Hierapolis is the freedom of climbing any building and ruin. We enjoyed it to the bottoms of our hearts.

Definitely worth seeing along with Necropolis. Beautiful walk and a beautiful view of the mountains and the small village. The ruins are just amazing
