a must do in Gaziantep, beautiful mosaics in a lovely setting

I can advice everyone to visit this wonderful museum.

Well worth a visit. This is a real treasure of a museum for Turkey, Gazientep should be proud - very classy!

The Architecture of this museum definitely does justice to what it encloses. The spaces are large but reasonably well separated and delineated. The placement and presentation of the mosaics which were removed from the town of Zeugma (Belkis) were thought out well for observing and photography. This museum is very new. It is very well designed. I celebrate all the people who worked to build such a well organized museum.. It is maybe the biggest mosaic museum of the world. Several homes of the rich people who once lived in Zeugma and the mosaics from their homes.

The brand new museum offers state of the art mosaics and a must to visit in Gaziantep. It is a 5-10 min minibüs ride from the old city centre. The staff also very helpful and know extra information about the artifacts. If you are planning to visit it in the weekends go in the morning. There were several touristic groups... More

Not to be missed, but be careful : it is closed on Mondays. The building itself is modern architecture at its best with parquet floors. The explanations are exhaustive and in perfect English.
