For one of the former 7 wonders of the world, the 1 column in the middle of an overgrown field, is just, well, sad!

There isnt much to this site at all. The only thing left is a rebuilt column (half of which is concrete) topped with a huge stork's nest. When I was there, most of the site was a swamp and hard to walk around without getting soggy. The turtles and birds were interesting, though.
Worth seeing as it's one of the seven wonders, but not much time needed. Still, a can't miss.
Visit this ruin after visiting Sardis. It is set in a very tranquil setting and so worth while.
One of the seven wonders of ancient Greece but.. Not much left. Nice view on StJohn s basilque from the temple.
The real statue of artemus is not there but a reproduction, well worth a look and again included in your entrance fee.
it may a glorious place in the ancient time but now nothing left...
The Temple of Artemis was located near the ancient city of Ephesus. Today, the temple can only see remains of the place where the temple once stood. Today this location is semi swampy landscape, as it was once in that place any more and the great port of Asia Minor.
This should not necessarily be the top of your "sites to see" list for Selcuk, but it is definitely worth the fifteen minute walk to (from the center of town).
It's worth a look if you're visiting Ephesus but as others have mentioned just 1 pillar is left (but it does give you an idea of how massive the temple was).
