Alsancak is a great little part of Izmir. There is a cute little strip of tavula (backgammon), tea, döner, Efes beer and christmas lights. If you go down towards the water it gets much more expensive, so I would suggest getting a little picnic or something and sitting down on the little brick wall near the water or just sitting... more
