Interesting for those interested in history, you can wander around by camel but not for the faint hearted

Went last year before I read 'Birds without Wings'. Had to go back this year as the novel made it come to life even more.

We walked from Fethiye, over the mountain to Kayakoy then got the local bus back. The walk took around 5 hours and we saw lots of wild tortoises on the way. The views over Fethiye were superb. A taste of the real Turkey. A meal by the ruins at night is magic.The walk to the top is quite hard on the legs and hot but so worth it.Buy a guide book before you go to really appreciate the history.

Wonderful location. A great 2 hour walk over the mountains to the Blue Lagoon.

A photographers dream, and quite eerie in all areas, watch out for a blue roller bird, the male is a bright blue.
