This is a wonderful experience and really shows the force of mother nature.Its very relaxing just sitting by the waters edge listening to the water rush by. Because of the weather conditions unable to explore the canyon.

It is a beautiful sight if you can avoid the crowds. If the river is high you won't be able to cross and so won't be able to walk very far into the gorge. It costs 5TL to get in. You can easily get there by local bus from Fethiye for a few TL.

Check the state of the river before going.In April we were unable to explore the gorge due to melting snow causing high waters.

the second biggest gorge in Europe, with walks up the gorge through ice cold water. The area has many waterside restaurants where you can enjoy simple fresh food cheaply

saklikent gorge was awesome fast flowing water goes through it you can go down the river on rubber ring using paddle to steer through rapids and 2 guides to help you through and ensure safety definitely a must do if you visit the gorge

Travelled by our rented jeep from Kalkan, which was well sign posted through lovely countryside & small Turkish villages to the gorge. Some nice places to eat & drink by the waters edge & you can walk up the gorge for a small fee. You have to cross the river, which is shallow (below the knee), to walk up the... More

We have been going turkey 9 yrs this year and this was a great day out.we was staying in hisaronu.and came across a travel firm called hamish mc'turk.and booked with friends.pick up from hotel couple days later an of we went on the way down a few stops included first the mosque which was lovely. then onto amphitheatre for photos... spectacular view.. but if you want to walk on it you shoud know that you need reasonable shoes, and the water is very cold.
