Like Blackpool only hotter. Terrible small beach, with restaurants all along that try to make you go in, not clean. Packed, only good thing is view out to sea.
As we can see from the various reviews, there can be many different reactions to the services provided by Tim's Tours in Calis Beach. We had nothing but a great experience dealing with Timur, and booked among other things 2 separate boat trips with his company. Timur is a great and knowledgable local that runs his company in a very... More
We decided to do an end of the day swim followed by cocktails to watch the spectacular sunset. The sea was lovely, with a beach shower and changing cubicle too. We eventually found a bar selling cocktails, but they were undrinkable - could be the unorthodox addition of the creme de menthe!!! Probably a completely different experience in high season.
Stopped here for a couple of hours to chillax after a high tempo jeep safari, beach is ok, mainly shingle so not ideal. The sea is alot warmer than the river we had to wash the mud bath off in so cant complain. Great views too.
Our holiday was for 2 weeks in the hotel Bahar, in Calis Beach, Fethiye, Turkey, on a A/Inclusive package, booked with Olympic holidays. Our original booking was for us to fly from East Midlands airport, to Dalaman airport, Turkey with Olympic holiday's using Jet2 for our flights, which with using Jet2 alot we were happy with, we had booked 22kgs... It is a mixture of sand and shingle but you do not need shoes to walk into the sea. Lots of bars and restaurants. Sun beds and parasols available. Stunning views, particularly sunsets.
On our first visit to Turkey we were lured by the lovely view of the sea and gorgeous sunsets. In reality the beach is not great and the 'strip' is pretty dire. I would suggest staying in the main town of Fethiye where you will be amongst more true locals and not almost entirely surrounded by Brits abroad.
This is a resort that is more exclusive and I always find my way back to the surf cafe for a chilled afternoon. Calis Beach is a real village and interesting to discover. I loved going to Fetye by boat.
