Walking into this old home turned museum was like walking back in time. The woman there explained the history of the house, the tile work and we found it very interesting. Worth the visit.

I visited the museum with my family. It is a very short visit, and I found much more interesting to see an original Portuguese house than the tiles exposed. Recommendation for visitors to Colonia: Don´t pay for each museum individually. There is an alternative to pay once and visit all museums: Spanish, Portguese, Naval, Tiles, etc.
This museum contained only a few blue and white glazed ceramic tiles, mostly from France. If you have to pay to enter, it's not worth the price.
This must be one of the world's smallest museums! Located in a Portuguese house which has been recently restored, it covers a few square meters, divided into three rooms. You can actually see most of its contents by peering through the windows!
