Vian is wonderful. I call her a "pocket rocket" . A trip to the market to learn about the local veges and then back to chop, mix, stir, cook and eat.

I thoroughly recommend this. We were a group of 8 people on an Intrepid tour. We laughed until we cried at some of Hahn antics and clever remarks and the time flew past so quickly. Oh yes, we cooked some great food and came away with the recipes. The read all the reviews below for details. You won't be disappointed...

What a great experience! I have been eating so much amazing food around Hoi An and after the other reviews on TA decided to go along to a class at Gioan. There were two of us in the class, which was great as we got to try some incredibly delicious recipes and learnt so much. We started with a wander...

In two hours, we cooked five courses: chicken soup, spring rolls, papaya salad, fish in banana leaf, and eggplant in a clay pot. The teacher was fun and full of useful information, including tips on techniques and substitutions. Class was small and moved quickly. Good hands-on time with breaks for enjoying your creations. Must do in Hoi An.
We chose this school as you could practically drop in and set up a session and the previous reviews had been entertaining. We turned up about 12 noon to book a session for the two of us and a friend. We wer persuaded to put the class back to 2pm so that ,, by the time we had finished cooking,...

We had a small class (total of 4) Enjoyed the market visit to buy fresh ingredients. Really good we all enjoyed it very much.
Ms Hanh provided us with one of the most entertaining nights we had on our G Adventures tour. She remembered all of our names, including the more appropriate nicknames she made up for us!
A delightful experience; great food, especially the papaya salad and the fish in banana leaves, and a copy of the recipes we made to take home....

After reading reviews on TA, my partner and I decided to have a cooking lesson at Gioan.
We declined the market trip so we could have more time for our 5 course lesson.
Ms Hahn, our young teacher was a delight! With "hello ginger", hello sugar" and the chopping and mixing song. This lesson was perfect for our experience level...

I've done a few cooking classes in my travels now, and I had by far the most fun in this one! For US$25 each, my husband and I had a class by ourselves, which included a trip to the market, and choosing 3 dishes to cook off the menu with our tutor, the fabulous Miss Vina! We had originally looked...

As mentioned by some other reviewers, I was also referred to this cooking class as an optional activity on an Interpid Tour in Hoi An. I did a few different cooking courses during my five week holiday and this was certainly the tastiest, and funniest!
We prepared 5 delicious dishes and it was nice to be provided with the recipes...
