To get to the Ramen Museum, you must take the train to Shin Yokohama on the outskirts of Yokohama city. Once there, you must pay 300 yen to enter the museum, which is mostly a food court - There's a limited exhibition on the history of ramen, but it's only in Japanese. All the restaurants in the food courts are... More

I love ramen. So very very much. Last time I was planning to visit Japan, I flew into Tokyo and headed immediately to a hotel in Yokohama, so I figured a rejuvenating bowl of ramen wouldn't quite be enough after my flight. No, I needed an entire MUSEUM devoted to what they inexplicably call "raumen". So, my friend and I... More

Unlike the Cup Ramen Museum, this Yokohama Raumen Museum is packed with people on our visit. Furthermore, there's a lack of translation on the exhibit floor, so basically it's not tourist friendly. It's a Museum/Collective of great ramen restaurants sitting below (yes, it's underground) on a recreated old-school representation of Japan city streets. The ambience is good, but the insane... More

I hugely enjoyed my visit - ok, so exhibit is not much but what they have is interesting. Best part for me was making my own pot noodle! You get to draw your own design, then choose soup, and 4 ingredients. They'll shrink wrap it for you to take home. Genius!

My husband and I went to the Ramen Museum around lunchtime on a Friday. There is a small entrance fee to get in, and there's an annual pass that can be purchased for just a little more. The upper floor is a gift shop as well as a nice timeline of ramen. I really wish they had English translations for... More

The decor and feel of the "museum," (I wouldn't really call it a museum, as much as a collection of 8 different ramen stores), is really cool. The whole place is set to look like 1950's Japan, and when you walk around, it does start to feel like a whole different place. The entrance fee is 300 yen, and most... More

I reached there quite late and almost close..We only had 10 minutes inside there and not able to taste the many dishes of ramen.... However. the ambience is nice..decor goes back to the 40s....and they have those fake skies plus olden music...and lots of old decors...for those who enjoy taking pics..its a good place.. For food wise, i have not... More

Honestly, I didn’t find the ramen to be exceptionally delicious. There is tastier ramen in a store nearby. But I did enjoy the place. It’s like being in a historical theme park. I recommend taking the 3-month pass if you can.
