A rather long ugly hike from the train station, but worth it. A beautiful classical Japanese garden. I viisted in prime cherry blossom viewing time, but it is apparent that this is a place that is probably beautiful during most of the year. Like the idea that I saw about three other foreigners when I was here.

We walked late in the afternoon, and missed the tea house, which looked amazing. Lovely garden abut peace interrupted by traffic/ main road.

This is a really pretty garden and i would love to come again. we visited on a really windy day in march. If we come back we will visit in April.

This beautiful park rivals the great gardens of Kyoto, well worth visiting if you're in Takamatsu.

Ritsurin garden in Takamatsu is simply beautiful. While Takamatsu is off the beaten track it is well worth dedicating the time to see Ritsurin garden.
