While me and my wife didn't go to the actual beach, we did some window shopping at the main Cenang Road. The concept is almost similar to Penang's Ferringhi Beach, but in a FAR more well-organized manner! Unlike the stalls dotting the side of Ferringhi Road, many of the ones in Cenang were in proper shops and with air-conditioning (stalls... More

Nice long beach with clean water and lots of activities. This is the most happening place in Langkawi. You can easily spend your day at the beach and evening at the shops and restaurants.

Some parts of the beach are really not good at all, loads of fag ends and rubbish strew about. The other part of the beach is breath taking, this area being up beside the big hotels. Some great places to eat and drink on the beach. Raffis on the beach is excellent, simple menu but amazing food.

If you're planning to stay close to the beach but still be a shout away from town, then Pantai Cenang is a great location. The Cenang beach is nice and has whole lot of water sports to offer including Jet Skiing, Parasailing, Banana boat rides and surfing.Else you can just go swimming or laze around on the beach with a book.Lots... Shops and restaurants line the street, giving some life to otherwise the quiet island, perhaps it's off peak season.

Cenang Beach is what i imagine Bali (Kuta) was like before all the tourists found out about it. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping to fill up a whole day. Unlike Bali it is not over run with tourists and yo can easily move around the streets without too much bother. Nice to get amongst it when you need... More

Beach is great. Constant whine of motors is not. But not unbearable.
