One warning - if you want to bring old folks, or children - please note that there is some 200 metres of walking up the steps (uneven and irregular sizes and shapes). The steps are VERY VERY challenging for old folks with knee problems. The monkey are pretty aggressive - especially if you are bringing bags with food. They will... More

we went there and we enjoyed the boat ride and the climb and descent to the lake, the pedal boats are ok but the size of the lake was underwhelming.

Covered this as part of Island hopping trip- is a nice place to see. Especially the fresh-water lake so close to sea.

The standard 3-hour excursion (9am-12pm or 2pm-5pm) to this island and its beautiful lake is all too rushed. We found that the island, though lacking in walking tracks and other visitor infrastructure, was very relaxing indeed. We would have preferred to have lain around the lakeside and soaked in the atmosphere rather than be rushed back to our boat after... More

You need to be physically active to reach the lake cos it involves climbing few steps. Beware of your belongings while you walk from the jetty to the lake since the place is full of monkeys. Though harmless but may snatch packets from your hand(thinking as food) if you are not careful. Boats both pedal type and solar powered are... More

Our taxi driver Baslan recommended this place to us and organised a boat trip for us. The boat trip to Pulau Dayang Bunting was great. Christine and I had a boat to ourselves, with skipper. The island and lake are beautiful.I don't know if too many pregnant maidens would want to traverse the 171 steps that my wife counted. Beware of... More
