The 19th century Fort Cornwallis Lighthouse is one of the best hidden colonial gems in Penang’s UNESCO heritage enclave. Many visitors often give it a miss although it is just a stone throw away from the iconic British fortress of the same name. When I visited Fort Cornwallis I found it excellant. On arrival having bought our tickets we were met by a man dressed in C17 th clothing who gave us an overview of the fort and its history. This lasted for about 5 minutes just long enough not to be bored. We entered the fort and found its exhibits well laid... more

I would like to point out that the management has failed to ensure the safety of the patrons especially concerning the wild horses placed in front of the history galery. Catastrophe is waiting to happen as children who play there are prone to be kicked and stomped by these wild horses. A friend of mine had his son stomped by... more
