If the walls could speak, I am sure they have lots to tell. You can feel the place's richness (I am not sure this word is correct even) in history and culture the moment you step foot inside the kongsi. It just calls out to you. This is one of the better known clan temples and it is open to the public, which some of the other clan temples are not. Not sure if a fee is required as our guide knew everyone. To understand the meanings behind the buildings and the associated art work a guide is advisable else some interesting information is missed. The... more

The Khoo Kongsi Clanhouse in Georgetown. You can tell the importance of the place just by entering the area. The design of the clahouse is very detailed and intricate that I had a heck of a time snapping pictures away. Tip: If you want really vibrant colors look to the roof of the clanhouse.
