Probably like many people, we were keen to see the famous bat exodus from Planet Earth and we were not disappointed. It is an amazing site. We were the last group out of the cave and by the time we emerged, the exodus had begun. Thankfully it lasts quite a long time so we had loads of time to head... more

We went to Mulu for 4 days 3 nights and had the best time. We stayed in one of the luxury chalets at the park headquarters (160 ringits per night). The chalet was enormous, with two very large bedrooms, we were two couples so had a room each. Each bedroom had aircon a queen sized and two single beds and... more

We stayed at Mulu National Park for two nights, in a deluxe long house. Arrival - We flew to Mulu with Malaysian Airlines, flight was good on a small 50 seater plane. We had to disembark at Miri and clear customs and get back on the plane, then 45 minutes later we landed to somw wonderful scenery. A minibus was... more

Like other reviewers I chose to stay here after getting the impression that the Mulu resort might not be a great experience. Rooms - The deluxe longhouse room was fantastic value for the money. I'm very picky (hence my trip adivser alias!) and was completely satisfied. The room was spacious, gleaming wood floors, the a/c worked well, and it was... more

We stayed at Gunung Mulu between the 25th and 30th of January 2009. I had gone through the tripadvisor forums thoroughly and got the impression that staying in the park was the better choice to the Royal Mulu Resort which charges much more but don't deliver all that much. I wasn't dissappointed. I made reservations through their website (http://www.mulupark.com/) for... more

Loved, loved, loved Mulu National Park. We went in March and Mulu was one of the first parts of our holiday. We had an amazing time. The park is so well organised and the caves are just amazing. I would recommend this place to everybody. We stayed in one of the mid-price rooms in the park for the first night... more

This is such a beautiful place and a I would really recommend going here, it was probably one of my favourite places in Borneo. If you are lucky enough to go stay at the park HQ, they have some amazing chalets and more basic accommodation if you are on a budget. This way your money will go to the park... more

We spent last month 4 wonderful days in Mulu. After its recent inclusion as a UNESCO site the park has been lovely developed to welcome tourists, yet lots of emphasis has been placed to minimize the impact and make tourism sustainable. The HQ provides accommodation and activities suitable for people of all ages (including children and mature travelers) with well... more
