Be it early morning walk or for the sunset walk..this place is one of the most charming place in Kuching.. By the flowing mighty Sarawak River and the old shop houses on the other side, this shaded esplanade is a perfect place if you have no plan for the national parks.
A stroll in the evening, morning or at night. No matter what you choose, you can come here and have a great walk. The place is peaceful and with the upgraded security, the place can be enjoyed by everyone.
Somewhere very pleasant to walk along, look for the istory plaques as you go.......food vendors open in the evening and sometimes markets happen, enjoyable on the side of the river.
Nice place and the shops are touristy but they sell what a lot of people want. No decent food along this way apart from James Brooke restaurant and the patisserie.

Great place to stroll around and grab a snack. There is always something going on in the evenings.
If you are heading to the esplanade, be sure to also visit the main bazaar across the road where there are shops selling many handicrafts. This was where we bought those Sarawak handicraft. Nearby hawker center is a place to fill your stomach when you are feeling hungry...
