The esplanade is known as Waterfront in Kuching. Located parallel with Tunku Abdul Rahman Road and Main Bazaar, starts from the Katulistiwa Restaurant, it stretches one km along Sarawak River. The espanade was well maintained and full with shrubs that keep the area cold and shady. Together with nice landscapes and food stalls, the place really offered a good time... more

We stayed at the Harbour View Hotel (see my review), just across the road from Kuching Esplanade, opposite the Tua Pek Kong Temple and the Chinese Museum. The Esplanade offers beautiful views of the Sarawak River and is usually a bit cooler due to the large shade trees surrounded by well maintained lovely gardens and sculptures.
