I live in Salalah and love coming here with visiting friends. It's not so much the cave that's interesting (although it is too) but the sea that crashes around it. During Khareef the wild sea pushes water through what the call "blow holes" and force the water up high (up to 30m they say) into the air. The accompanying "roar"...

The Marneef Cave is just one part which is very interesting. The real fun in the natural fountains which have been created due to the humungous waves splashing on the rocks.
There is no exaggeration when I say that these must be the one of the most powerful waves in the world. It's a divine feeling just to watch these...
