This is Job's tomb and the site itself is a bit underwhelming. It's just a small concrete room where supposedly Job is burined, known by Ayoub in Arabic. The site is crowded, not very clean, but an interesting part of history. Also, the drive up provides a good reason to go to the mountains and see rural Oman. Perhaps that... More

We have visited this site on several occasions. Usually when we have had visitors from out of town. It has always impressed me with its peace and tranquillity. If visited on a weekday when there are few tourists or worshipers in the grounds, the bird song and the low buzz of insects is totally soporific. The grounds are well tended... More

Nabi Ayoub (Job's) tomb is quite a long drive out of Salalah and is really only worth visiting if you have a particular interest in history/religion. Unless you know the story behind it you probably will leave feeling disappointed as there's really not much to see. The tomb looks pretty much like any other tomb of its kind and the... More

The Prophet Job is part of the islamic belief as well as Christianity so I thought it was interesting to see where he was buried. The tomb is set in a garden which also has a little mosque. Outside the tomb you will see the alleged footprint of the prophet. Just before you arrive at the tomb, on the right... More

Nabi Ayoub (Job's Tomb) is slightly confusing for those without a strong religious background. Coupled with the fact that there are several others in the region, it is easy to be skeptical of the legitimacy. It is housed in some basic structure, not much of an "attraction." Drive down to the Nabi Ayoub restaurant and get a shisha overlooking Salalah,... More

I think we would have visited this tomb, even after knowning what we would find there. We arrived during a day of celebration, and the place was completely packed with tourists. Still, the views from the top of the hill are pretty impressive, and the hilly drive to get there was a memorable one.

Nice scenery.Birds nest in large numbers in the trees of the garden Quite crowded. Not much to see in terms of architecture. the tomb essentially has a set of foot prints embedded in stone purported to be those of the prophet
