The local indigenous family came and let my son dance under their cheetah skin and they blessed him. Once in a lifetime experience. I splurged beyond my budget but have no regrets!

We stayed at the Inkaterra Lodge recently when visiting the Amazon and loved every day. The individual bungalows were well designed and the Lodge facilities provided great areas for relaxing and enjoying drinks or meals. The activities were varied and included 2 or 3 km treks through mud (gumboots provided!) to wonderful Sandoval Lake (where we were lucky to see... More

Date: 7th May 2008 We just returned from this amazing hotel/lodge in the jungle, filled with great stories to tell and having spent an amazing vacation !! We stayed for 5 nights, enjoying all the excursions and some lazy afternoons winding down, my husband, my self and my two daugthers, aged 10 and 8. The staff is very friendly and... More

Fun location in the heart of the jungle!!! less expensive than other alternitive and right next store. Bedding is very basic, same with accomidations, but the location cannot be beat. Rather difficult, but flat, 1.5 mile hike through mud to get to the lake and then a 1/2 mile boat ride to lodge.

This really was a great resort. The transfer from the airport was efficiently and friendly, with travel in an open sided bus and river boat to reach the lodge. The range of eco-activities available is varied and we were given complete choice over what we wished to do during our stay. Our guide was so knowledgable and spoke excellent English... More

We stayed here recently (Sep2005) for 3 days. Right from the start it was apparent that this was a great place to stay. Everyone, from tour guides to restaurant staff were friendly and chatty, going out of their way to help. The food was fantastic, good and wholesome - much needed after the excursions! It's a real back to nature... More

This jungle lodge was the highlight of our trip to Peru and probably the most amazing place we've ever stayed. Only an hour up the river, the lodge itself is magical. Really fun adventures that take you close to animals. We felt like we were at Harry Potter's Hogwarts--all day we kept seeing fantastic animals and plants we'd never even... More
