the place is nice when you climb up to the ladder and reach mama mary its peaceful say a prayer and light a candle...
Climb on top of the Mountain and reach the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes... It's still cool while climbing up since the entire area was covered with Pine Trees... It's a good site to pray, sacrifice + prayer = makes one prayer strong...
Its really a passion and a must do when you visit Baguio. Buy candles before going up, and try to count the stairs. Be sure to say your prayer when you reach Mama Mary. Its a crowded area so be sure to attend to all your valuables.
I always visit this place to say a prayer and to see the whole Baguio.
Ask a cab to take you to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto then prepare yourself for the 100 steps going up. There's nothing much to see when you reach the top. Just light a candle and offer a moment of silence to say a little prayer.
Test your faith, climb up the stairs.. hehe. only tried once and since then, just prayed at the base of the or bottom of the grotto. I bet SHE can hear me as well.
It is OK, but nothing very special. Once in Baguio, one should probably see it for completeness sake. If you don't feel like walking all the steps up, ask you taxi driver to drive you halfway up.
I remember braving the steps of Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto back in 1989. I was somewhat disappointed when I returned last March. The view of the grotto is obstructed by commercial establishments.
not worth the travel, other than if you are passing it by chance, more fun to visit the haunted old hotel up the hill.
