Harriet Tubman rates as my number one favorite historical figure. What an amazing life. This site is the home of the aged that she founded in her later years. There is a nice visitor center with exhibits, including a fascinating historical timeline. You can enjoy a low-key tour of the home, with a personable guide. The actual home where Harriet... More

The docent really made this trip. It's true the house and the visitor's center are small but you can really get a feel for all this remarkable woman went through.

My wife and I went to visit this site because my grandson recently wrote a report for school about Harriet Tubman. Although it is small the guide was fantastic and we learned so much about this remarkable woman. We couldn't wait to go home and tell my grandson.

It was a fun quick tour and interesting to see if you are an amateur or seasoned history buff.

Harriet Tubman's early life is heralded far and wide, but this site gives us the "other 52 years". The property, the museum, the Home, and all the ongoing projects give such a wonderful glimpse of the woman who not only helped bring slaves out of bondage, but gave all her timem energy, and finances to support the community where she... Tour was short and not explained well. Not much of the house could be seen.

The woman who took us through has her heart in it! She explained so much history to us about Harriet Tubman about the underground railroad. The small house is nice to see: simple and accommodating for its former tenants. In the future, Harriet's other house will be available to show--next door. A worthwhile, educational stop for the area.

Keep in mind this museum has a modest budget. The story is more about the individual not the buildings and grounds. I give great cedit to Christine who gave our tour and for keeping alive the memory of the tremendous contribution Harriet Tubman has been to civil rights. It would be a valuable lesson to anyone with children to teach... More

A very valuable experience. We learned so much about this heroic woman. The tour was low-key, informative, and very special.

We arrived at what we thought was Harriet tub mans house and went to the visitors center. We paid about $5 to get in. They showed us a video that was 25 minutes long and very outdated (1980's ) . Then they bought us over to the " house " which turned out to be an aged home Harriet Tubman... More
