Located in the very heart of Makati the Salcedo Market is a good place to spend a spare Saturday morning with family or (visiting) friends, and also have brunch while you are there. The earlier you go the better (timing 7am to 2pm) as it can get quite hot later. There are a lot of food options- from local to... More

We also live in the neighboorhood, and this is a favorite weekend activity - especially if you like to EAT! There are a lot of healthy & organic options - from produce and prepared-food stalls. They also promote eco-friendly food containers made out of SUGARCANE! They have fresh seafood, organic beef, pork, fruits, and veggies. We like the guy in... More

I've been to Salcedo Market about 40 times. Yep, I'm lucky enough to live next to it. I have made acquantences with many of the vendors. There is a huge array of food (both cooked & raw) to choose from. You can also find homewares, flowers & pot plants, gourmet food items, health care items, etc, etc, etc. If you... More

Salcedo Market is an open-air market set under large trees in a quiet area in Makati, and we had a wonderful visit exploring the food options available here. Most of the items we tried (there are plenty of tastings going on) and bought were appetizing and delicious. We thought the gourmet suman (rice cake) was delectable and the malungay pesto... More

Albeit pricey. Where else you'd you find a pot of all the good stuff PH has to offer in Makati? Fresh and organic vegetables. Hard to find delicacies from rural PH, like fresh water buffalo cheese and water buffalo milk (say KALABAW) Fried frog and grasshopper (you must look for it in the Pampanga food section) And then there are... An amped up weekend market, where models and mere mortals come for their fix of "culture and bites". :) as I pointed out, this is the place to visit if you want a taste of everything the Creme de la Creme of Manila has to offer. this is NOT your usual weekend market, as most, if not all of the... If you are craving for either Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese, Indian, American or Filipino food then I recommend you to visit this market every Saturday whole year round (I don't know if they are open on Black Saturday). I guarantee you that the cuisine that you will taste is authentic and next to the real thing as... More
