The convent is an oasis of calm in the middle of the busy city, very nice. The church was closed when we visited it so we didn't have the opportunity to go inside - the outside is beautiful though. Cemetery is very interesting as well.

Take the red metro line to Sportinvaya and turn right as you come out of the metro and keep walking in this direction - you will soon see the spires of the convent church and know that you are heading in the right direction! nice, it was white with snow when we went there, and blue sky with sunshine, most things were closed though and we paid quite a bit entrancefee if I remember corectly

Too bad one side was closed but the artist section was interesting. Quiet and very few visitors. Wish I could have seen both sides.

A must in your trip to Moscow to enjoy the very special atmosphere you get in monasteries.

It pains me to see it's state. Place is very famous. Not in the least for burial ground. But the conditions it is kept in is somewhat poor.
