As others have said, the name of this leads one to believe it will be a display of weapons. No, that is just a small part. Beautiful clothes and carriages, Faberge eggs, and gifts of State. And amazing collection!
Don't be fooled by the name The Armoury this is only part of the displays that are available. You will see art clothes carriages and may other wonderful things If you can get a guide it does help...
This magnificent museum in the Kremlin will overwhelm you with history. While many go just to see the eggs (and they are amazing), it is so much more. I was amazed that uniforms and dresses from far back in Tsarist times were on display as well as carriages, and so much more. It was one of my top four places...

Going by the title I was under the impression I was going to see a museum containing different forms of armoury. I was really surprised to find a wealth of different items belonging to various Tsars and Empresses. Worth a visit
...so much more. Home of the Faberge eggs and so much more Tsarist splendour. Visit for the cloak room theatre alone.
Wow! What can I say? I wasn't really expecting it, but this ended up being my favorite thing we saw in all of Russia and I think a large part of that was the excellent audioguide. We ended up getting the audioguide for free the day we went (I think because the Kremlin itself was closed for some unknown reason...

The Armoury is a great museum - you get to see dresses, weaponry, and gifts that the Tsars received. The opulence is truly astonishing.
The Kremlin was a rip off. After standing in queue for 45 mins we are told that the Kremlin is shut and only the Armoury is open - but the price was the same 700 Rubles per head.
