The monument is not impressive that much. The location is inconvenient - it's in the middle of busy square, you can't get close to the monument.

Monument to the founder of Yaroslavl, Yaroslav the Wise, was recently in the middle of Bogoyavleniya Square (next to Spasso-Preobrazhenskiy or Transfiguration of the Savior Monastery).
