We visisted the Church on Spilled Blood. It was truly an amazing experience. It is as beautiful inside as it is on the outside. Words hardly do it justice. Even the hordes of people did not take away from the awe inspiring beauty. We had a wonderful guide who did a wonderful job of explaining the history.

wonderful church with gardens next door. do not miss this.

Not a church really. More of a location of historical significance. Beautiful architecture and mosaics. Souvenir stalls across the street, too!

Although the church is fairly new the architecture design was modeled after a much earlier period. Inside the church every wall is covered in amazing mosaics. We visited late afternoon and it was very busy.

Beautiful inside, worth seeing. Also visit market across the street.

This church is not only beautiful outside - it is amazing inside. Floor to ceiling mosaics. A definitely don't-miss in St. Petersburg. Great little restaurants around the church -and also many souvenir stands selling at fairly good prices.
