What a treat to see, the complete opulence of this is unbelievable. Very cold and covered in snow, walking through the gardens to the outside summer houses with no one around is a real treat. The palace is so grand, nothing that I have seen to compare the wealth, rooms covered in gold. No wonder they had a revolution. Take... More

The Park was amazing, even in winter, when you simply walk to the island in the Great Lake. The Palace was beautiful, although more English signs would be great. More

Even though we visited on the last Monday in the month, when the palace is evidently closed, it was worth the tube and bus ride from the centre to visit just for the views of the building. The best way of getting to Puskin was to catch the tube to Lenin square and catch the bus which are very regular.... More

All the rooms are unbelievable and layed out . Brides were even having their photos taken in ballroom of the palace. Again you do need to not forget to take an audio guide as no explanations are given. More

This is an incredible place to visit. Although we went in the winter and could not really appreciate the gardens, which were under a couple of inches of snow, the Palace itself is incredible with an extraordinary selection of rooms decorated in different styles by top-class designers from all over Europe. We would love to go back in the summer... More

Another superb palace which deserves a full day. Make sure you see the wonderful palace with a guide, and listen to the superb capella singers in the grotto beside the lake. More

Firstly, if visiting St. Petersburg would strongly recommend using your own guide. We cruised here in September 2011 aboard Princess Cruises. You avoid long lines, can work out your own itinerary and spend more time at chosen venues. We were recommended to do so by someone we met on an earlier cruise in 2011. Catherine Palace has to be seen... More
