This chapel was built in 1914 to symbolize the center of Russian Empire, in 1930s it was destroyed and the place was used to hold a statue of Stalin, then the statue was torn down and eventually the chapel was rebuilt in 1993, so this place is quite historic. This chapel represents the centre of russia ( i assume when it was the u.s.s.r.).....it now stands on a very wide central reservation of a EIGHT LANE HIGHWAY, four each way,......unfortunately it was closed when i was there,....but peering through the door it was one room,...used as a souvenier shop.... but nothing to stop you saying a prayer whilst inside.......its...
