Outside of the one-week snow festival, I guess it would be an otherwise non-descript park. However, during this one week, it is a winter wonderland filled with amazing ice sculptures ranging in size from small to downright massive. The park is also filled with an amazing array of food stalls and you can easily stuff yourself silly. Make sure you... More

The summers in Sapporo are not as hot as the rest of Japan, so you won't melt when you're chillin out there. There all kinds of interesting people coming to the park. (Dancers, batenders in trainning practicing, skaters, etc.) At night all the "Dress Car" (custom car) clubs come out. I took pictures of some really cool rides.

The Odori Park was so fun and beautiful in winter. On the weekends it got really crowded, especially the German Christmas market that sells German foods, drinks, and Christmas-y things. But, walking around and watching the illumination was so pretty, especially with the Sapporo Tower in the background. There was enough snow, we even built a snowman at night when... More

It was such a wonderful experience when this park lights up for the celebration of Christmas. The lights up is so beautiful with a white backdrop covered in snow.

I was surprised that Odori Park was such tiny. From the TV, I imagined that it was much bigger and a lot more was going. On my second day in Sapporo, they had their first illumination day so I went around taking photos. Not as big as Kobe's one but it has its own character.
