Spectacles Bridge is a must see - not just for the bridge but for the troll up the pretty river with its many old stone bridges. The "lane" running parallel to the river has most of Nagasaki's interesting temples to visit as well.
There are some other nice bridges, too. But even more interesting is watch other visitors taking fotos!
Not a particularly inspiring structure but interesting as part of a set of bridges on this canal. It photographs better from the less viewed side than from the side where most tourists take their photos. Make sure you get shots of the other bridges and the stonewrk along the sides of the canal.
Spectacles bridge, one of the "three most famous bridges in Japan", is itself nothing Amazing to look at. But the location (close to many other attractions), rich history (Japan's first chinese-style stone bridge), and rather pretty vista makes it worth visiting. Stop by, go down to the water and take some photos. Then perhaps go for a coffee at Hamanomachi...

I'm not entirely sure why this is considered a "must-see" Nagasaki attraction by some. It's a two-arched bridge that looks like spectacles when reflected in the water beneath.
