More for souvenirs than general market fare. Has a food court. Even toe-nibbling fish. Worth a visit.

If you are looking for bargains, this may not be the ideal place to shop in KL (given the time and effort required to get there). But if you yearn to see remnants of the British era in Malaysia, this could be a place worth visiting.
Great range of handmade crafts and cheap aswell, not to much hassle unlike chinatown next to it.
After the hustle and bustle of China Town (Jelan Petaling) it was lovely to stroll around Central Markets in the air conditioning. Lots of souveniers, clothes and wooden artifacts, all good prices and lots of variety. Easy walk from monorail train to China Town and a little bit further along to the indoor markets. Lots of things to see along...

Ask the seller for the price, it should be less than what is labelled on the item. You'll be able to haggle but not as much as at Jalan Petaling. It is also air conditioned and has a food...

There are trinkets, but there are also good quality products which are authentic and of a great variety and origin - Malaysia, China, India (reflecting the background of the country) as well...
