Every major city around the world, it would seem has a China Town, and Manila's China Town (aka Binondo) is a great one. I spend at least a day every time I vist Manila just wandering around Binondo. If you are in Manila be sure not to miss eating in one of Chinatown restaurants. If you like really ood food without the hefty price tag Binondo is the place for you. There will be divergent views about Binondo. On the one hand, it is 'authentic Philippines' - including people everywhere one looks. On the other, the place gave me a feeling like I was sharing a shower cubicle with two or three others. Very, very crowded. If you go, I would leave any jewellery in your hotel room.
