we didn't but it was certainly doable and there are ruins there to visit. We'd just spent the day with many others, so passed. But might be fun for kids to do especially.

Have been there a few times and have only ever seen rabbits once. The views from the top of the island are stuunning and the locla resturants service locla caught fish. In the evenings it is very lively a bit like an old hippy market with glass blowing and people making jewelery etc.

This has always been an annual place I like to visit. We reached it by moped and enjoyed wading out to the island to see the wild rabbits - however I note that this may be fenced off now - this does not suprise me - I understand why they now need to conserve its natural beauty... Still a lovely... More

You can walk in the shallow waters across to rabbit island in about ten minutes, but you are not allowed on the island as its fenced off from the public because of archeological digs.

There's literally nothing on the island.. The government has put some fences that visitors are not allowed to pass, and you can only walk on a small part of the island. Saw no rabbits or anything. The only fun part was the walk to the island, the water was still cold and we all had to walk very carefully. When... More

If you are looking for a very chilled out escape from the madness, rabbit island is the place for you. Its a lovely place to have a day in the sun ( wear protection, can get very sun burnt), great food, beautiful drinks & massage, lovely location for a good relaxing time. The boat trip over is a fun experience.

On our recent trip to Bodrum, we decided to head over to Gümüşlük to check out Rabbit Island. We took a minibus (4.50 TL) from the Bodrum Otogar to Gümüşlük. Upon arriving in Gümüşlük, however, we were disappointed to discover that the island is closed. You can still walk out to it through the water; however, due to some recent... More
