Visited Saturday, May 12, 2012 with my husband and 20 month old daughter. We arrived approx 10:30 and didn't have to wait in line to enter at all. We have the Membership purchased through our local aquarium so admission to us was free- I believe for adults its $12. Started on the North American side and worked our way around... More

We got to the zoo around 10 am. We rented a double stroller for our two small children. It's very resonable and well worth the money. We took the tram to the middle station and walked the africa section first and then the north american section so that we would be back at our car when we are finished. If... More

This is a great place to visit, although I would recommend visiting in the spring or fall. It was really hot and some of the animals did not come out to be viewed.

The zoo is a great place to spend the day. Be sure to plan to stay the whole day, there are so many animals to see. WE have been going to the zoo since it first opened,it was only a few animals in buildings and pens, it has grown and changed a lot. I have enjoyed watching it grow and... More

We visited on 5/18/12. I have been about 7 years ago. The carosel was a nice add on. We did buy the combo pass to get in. Make sure if you want the combo you ask for it at the gate and we did wait in the wrong line trying to get in the park and didn't realize it till... More

The landscaping is beautiful, the animal habitats are well kept and the parking is good. One of the nicest things about this zoo is that most of the walkways are shaded making it very comfortable even in the summer. It is always one of our families favorite yearly day trips.

I find it is to spread out to enjoy. It is better to go to one section per trip.

The NC Zoo was a real joy. We were a bit down when we found out the Polar Bears had been relocated until 2014 while they revamp, enlarge and redecorate the Polar Bear quarters. FYI they are also updating the Kidz Place so it is closed for now(fun place for kids). They do have a new DINO 4D exhibit including... More
