My family lives less than an hour away from Atlantic Beach, and I grew up going to the aquarium. I remember the first time I went after the renovations. I loved it even more. During the summer of 2009, my husband and I took our two nieces to visit the aquarium. They loved it. It was also my husband's first... more

The Aquarium uses salt water pumped directly from the ocean. All of many exhibits were big, clean and clear. Got to see the Live Dive shark (&other sealife) exhibit. The glass between us and inhabitants is about 2 inches thick. You put your hand on outside for the diver to cover with his hand inside and you will see the... more

The NC Aquarium is not as big as othe aquariums in other states and there is local sealife only but the volunteers are very friendly and give lots of information on the animals. The nature trail is a nice addition to the aquarium. more

The jellyfish exhibit inside the aquarium - don't miss it, with glow-in-the-dark and see-through jellies. I can sit for hours in front of the massive tank that holds... more

We visited this Aquarium last week while on vacation in the Crystal Coast area. Hands down this was the best aquarium we have visited, and we have visited dozens around the country. The families favorite was the pet tank with stingrays. They are like little finned dogs. They seem to love the contact. We also got to pet a 2... more

We are Trip Advisor Members from NJ. We visited the Aquarium in Early May 2008 and wished the weather was better so we could have taken their Nature walk. The exhibits were very well done and even though we have seen both the Camden,NJ and the Baltimore,MD. Aquariums we found this one very refreshing. The location could not have been... more
