We recently visited Hopelands Gardens and the Magnolia trees were beginning to blossom. Truly special time of the season in Aiken. Wide diversity of plants!
What a fabulous retreat in the middle of Aiken.... take the time to walk the gardens, see the horse museum, the doll house..... sigh... just wonderful.
I can't wait to go back when everything is in bloom! I went with my 10 year old and pushed my 6 month old in his stroller and it was a very nice walk. The trees are beautiful. Next time we will take a picnic!
Have not been to Hopeland Gardens yet, but love the way it looks from my travels down whiskey road..love the beauty of it when Christmastime rolls around..will get there!
Butting up against busy Whiskey Road does not mean you can't deliver a fine and relaxng garden experience. Well laid out with meandering paths, play house, Racehorse Hall of Fame and scheduled musical or gardneing events throughout the year makes it easy to come back with visitors and not be bored. The Christmas Lights are wonderful.
walking trails, racing hall of fame, best place to enjoy the free concerts on Mondays evenings all summer long.

The small signs identifying the trees and...
