My brother and his lovely bride had their wedding here. The Grace was once a beautiful hotel back in early 1900. Nearly a ruin, until it was skillfully restored and turned into a museum. I was only able to tour the bottom floor. The wedding was held in the court yard. Though warm outside it made for a nice quaint... More

Just happened by the museum when walking around downtown. My favorite was the exhibit of Abilene's history on the 3rd floor. While not very specific to Abilene itself, it pictures vignettes of life throughout the decades. A great collection of antique technology as well. We went on a Thursday evening, so admission was free. The exhibits from local high school... More

The building is really cool, but the exhibits are limited.

Enjoyed the exhibit of paintings by artist Huckabee. On the second floor there was an exhibit of student art from the local schools which was interesting. The children's interactive area on the second floor kept the kids in our group interested and entertained. The third floor historical items with the kitchen and living room recreations from the 1910s to 1940s... More

Good rotations of great artwork from a variety of artists. Rarely has displays of REALLY well known artists similar to the metropolitan areas, but still really great works for a city the size of Abilene.

The exhibits that go thru this museum are outstanding. I go back over and over again. Take a friend, take your time and take in all that the Grace has to offer.

The Grace Museum has various attractions and art exhibits downstairs, but I think the best part is the upstairs children's museum. It had several interactive exhibits, dealing with subjects as diverse as additive light models, gravitation, and newscasting. It is definitely worth a visit for a family with children in elementary or middle school range. Located in downtown Abilene, it... More

The Grace Museum is one of my favorite museums for visiting as a family. I enjoy taking my girls to Abilene for an overnight visit a few times a year. We always time our visits around the exhibits at the Grace Museum and the National Center for Childrens Illustrated Literature. So far my favorite Grace art exhibit was of John... More

We went to a wedding reception in the ballroom, so we were allowed to tour the museum during the party.. The art and history exhibits were well presented and interesting, and the staff were professional and helpful. The building has been beautifully restored. You could walk through in about an hour.. We enjoyed it very much!
