This theater is a throwback to days gone by. Always a treat to visit, whether it is for a film, play, or other event. Their popcorn is THE BEST in town!
What a treat to experience such a historic place that is functional and beautiful as we'll! This magnificent treasure in the heart of Abilene is a wonderful venue for movies and stage productions as well. Brings back fabulous memories go my childhood!!!!!
I was told this is one of the last standing & one of like 2 or 3 operating Paramount Theaters, & had to check it out! WHAT A FIND!!! The theater play movies from Holiwoods "Hayday" (20-50's). It is impecablly restored & even has the moving stars & clouds on the ceiling! It was a real treat! One of the... More
The architecture alone is worth the visit. There are simply not many theaters left that have such a classic style. The shows are always fun and very well priced. If you are in the Abilene area and have not yet been to the Paramount, it should definitely be at the top of your list!
The theatre was renovated in 1986 and returned to like new condition. First theatre I've seen with a Moorish architectural theme. Just wish we had been here for a movie or show so we could really enjoy the theatre's starlit ceiling.

I'm not sure if there was more of the theatre... More
If your in town and there is anything playing You gotta go and see this beautiful theater. I hope the cloud machine is working so you can watch the clouds roll on the ceiling by before the show starts. We make a point to see a lot of the events. Great piece of history for days gone by
I think this is the coolest place in Abilene! We lived in Abilene 3 years. I went to the regular movie theatre only twice during that period but went to the Paramount 5 times. It's such a nostalgic theatre. If you don't appreciate old places you won't care anything about it. My nephew came to visit and he is a... More
