6th street itself is interesting in that "weird" sort of way that is so popular in main street renovation these days. Yes, there are some cool shops and some decent places to eat along the street itself (Barnaby's Beanery and Golden Light Cafe standout with good food and decent music) but take it from someone that has lived in Amarillo...
