The State Capitol Building in Austin, the largest outside of Washington, DC, is worth a visit. There is a large, high rotunda in the middle with offices and legislative chambers around the perimeter. I found it just that: Impressive. From the street that comes to the Capitol it looks majestic, very clean, interesting pieces of Texas history; a must see in Austin. We spent about three hours just walking around. more
